WATER HARDENED W-1

W-1 tool steel is a general purpose water-hardening tool steel with a 1.00% Carbon content. W-1 is the easiest of all steel to machine with a machinability rating of 100 as a basis for comparison with other tool steels. Diameters range from 1/16" - 2".

OIL HARDENED  O-1

O-1 tool steel is a general purpose oil-hardening tool and die steel. It has good abrasion resistance, and sufficient toughness  for normal tool and die applications. When compared to a 1 percent carbon steel, O-1 has a machinability of rating of 90.
